Inclusive Business Sweden is now commencing a study to map inclusive business opportunities in the textile and clothing sector in Asia. The new project is named InTaCt and is funded by the Asian Development Bank. The initiative will focus on identifying opportunities in and around the supply chain in Bangladesh and Myanmar.
While there has been a strong focus on “responsible business” for this sector in order to improve worker conditions, this study will focus on “inclusive business” by identifying new and innovative business models and investment opportunities for leading Swedish as well as other international companies. In addition to field trips to Asia, Inclusive Business Sweden will present initial findings at the Asian Development Bank’s Inclusive Business Forum in the Philippines next year.
